The Latin Dub Sound System

Big bass lines and carnival rhythms. That moment when the music makes you lose control. The interactive vibe between band and audience: the Latin Dub Sound System delivers an unmissable live music experience.

Part sound system, part South American orchestra, but ultimately genre-defying, the Latin Dub Sound System incorporates Latin percussion, house-driven melodies, dub beats, uplifting vocals, flamenco guitars, Mambo horns and rap.

At its core the band is a collective of x musicians in addition to which it has featured a fluid array of singers, musicians and MCs, including artists Rodney P, Ska Cubana, Yungun, Eva Abraham and Benjamin Zephaniah.

Launched with an acoustic set at Momos in February 2007, and two secret shows at Favela Feva and The Vortex, a busy summer schedule followed including shows at Lovebox, Secret Garden Party and Paradise Gardens.

The Latin Dub Sound System's first EP is set for release in February 2008. Back
