Orange Hill Productions is the brainchild of record producer / former Radio1 and 1Xtra DJ, Ras Kwame, in collaboration with Jnr.Tubby, another record producer of UK urban music fame (popularly known as DialTone / Antonio). The sound can be described as dancehall meets electro dance via reggae = ElectroBashy , a new subgenre of UK urban music. Orange Hill soundsystem plays a versatile mix across the spectrum of black music, its key area being reggae/dancehall but incorporating other reggae related genres such as dubstep, jungle dnb, ukg etc. Featuring a stellar lineup of performances from the cream of international dancehall reggae talent to the hottest homegrown urban talents to include Ms.Dynamite, I Octane, Wiley, Mr.Lexx, Gappy Ranks, Cecile, Doctor, Demolition, RDX and more. Orange Hill is a versatile reggae performance act with various booking options as a live act. Orange Hill can operate as a soundsystem to with 2 dj’s (Ras Kwame & Jnr. Tubby) and resident mc’s. The system is also available to perform ‘live’ as a band in the more traditional sense with drums, bass, keys 2 x guitars and guest vocalists.
