Michaella

Michaella is one of the most thrilling and distinctive belly dance artists in London today. Specialising in classical Egyptian styles, Michaella also trained in ballet and folk dance. She performs at leading venues and festivals in London, in the UK and internationally.

Recently she has choreographed and performed a show at London Fashion Week, and appeared with the renowned Daghdha Dance Company in Limerick, Ireland, among others. She also stages innovative belly dance productions with her own dance group.

Michaella’s styles include cabaret, solo with an instrumentalist (especially the tabla) and fusion, exploring synergies between East and West, and between Eastern rhythms and Western classical harmonies. Among her collaborators are Avivit, the remarkable Middle Eastern vocalist, Tim Garside, the leading tabla player, and Jamie Walton, the leading international cellist.
